Chris, don't scroll down unless you want to ruin the special moment of seeing me in my gown for the first time when I'm walking down the aisle!

I mean it! You're the one that wants to be surprised!

Is he gone? Ok, let's get down to business! To be honest I wasn't too thrilled on the idea of a wedding dress. I'm more of a jeans-and-tee kind of girl so the thought of 1) wearing a long white dress and 2) spending money on something I'll only wear once just didn't sit well. But, to humor my family, I went to David's Bridal and tried on some dresses. How was I to know that I'd fall in love with a dress?
This is style 9V9743, and it is comfortable, figure flattering, and flowy. I love that it's simple, but has a little bit of detail on it so that it isn't boring. I have to brag a bit too... At the time of my fitting, I had lost just over 52 pounds. When I first got my dress, I tried it on and it was so snug that you almost couldn't get it zipped up. I practically cried when the seamstress started pinning the sides of the dress at my fitting because I really didn't see or feel the weight loss until that moment. So here's a pic of my happy moment, with my proud dad watching.

Accessories

Since I'm a September bride, I thought it would be nice for my "something blue" to be sapphire earrings. I found these at Zales when I was getting my ring cleaned, and they are even prettier in person!

I also wanted a simple necklace to wear, and I found the necklace below on Etsy. The seller is BeauAndStella.

After searching high and low for cute flats to wear (when you trip over your own two feet as much as I do, heels are a bad idea), I found these on www.dsw.com. They are the CL by Laundry Glamor Flat. Super comfy and they are a beautiful shimmery champagne color. I want to wear them right now!
