Chris is a math junkie. I don't need a calculator when trying to figure out how much a 15% tip would be, I can just ask him. When he's not crunching numbers, you can normally find him watching the Orioles and Ravens, or playing poker.

My passion is reading. When I get a break from the wedding planning, I'm more than likely catching up on my novels. I also enjoy cooking and singing.

How We Met & The Proposal

Chris and I met online in 2007, and our first date was at a local park where we had a lovely picnic. At the end of the date, I was such a bundle of nerves that I shook Chris's hand and thanked him for a great time. Even after that, we still wanted to spend time with each other, ha ha!

Flash forward three years later. I come home from work to find a beautiful bouquet of roses on the dining room table for me. I had no reason to suspect anything else, and Chris and I carried on with our usual dinner and chores that we usually do in the evenings. The next day, I came home to a beautiful card and love note on the same dining room table. I started to get suspicious, but I honestly thought that Chris was just being really sweet. I mean, it wasn't our anniversary or anything! So the next day, I come home again but there's nothing on the dining room table for me. I'll admit, I was a little bummed, but Chris walked out of the kitchen holding one of my favorite flavors of Ben & Jerry's ice cream. According to Chris, there was a sale at the store and he wanted to pick it up for me since he knew I liked it. I totally bought it. Thursday rolls around, and I come home and Chris tells me that I can relax to night, and he would make dinner and do the cleaning up. I was still clueless, but I enjoyed being able to chill. Finally Friday comes, and I knew something was up as soon as I was walking towards our place. I couldn't see any lights on, but Chris's car was there so I knew he was home. When I walked into the apartment, there were candles everywhere, and Chris had set up a picnic in our living room with the same food that we ate on our first date. My heart was racing and I felt like a bundle of nerves all over again. After eating, Chris started fidgeting and, reaching into his pockets said, "Something is really itching me!" Next thing I know, he's on one knee telling me how much he loves me and proposing to me. Of course, I said yes!
